Artist’s Statement:

My acrylic and digital painting practices explore the qualities that make a subject lifelike without necessarily adhering to that which makes them photorealistic. My hand is apparent in my work; rather than striving for the invisible brushwork in Classical painting styles, I draw from my interest in graphic and narrative art to produce bold, confident strokes and a vibrant, intentional palette that communicate the energy and vitality of my subjects.
